Abstract

Project Abstract Cost Extension Request - Grant #: 5UL1TR001855-05 We request a twelve-month cost extension from June 1, 2021 to May 31, 2022 for NCATS Award# 5UL1TR00185-05, Project Title “Southern California Clinical and Translation Science Institute” awarded to the University of Southern California. The cost extension will enable us to do the following:  finalize SC CTSI projects and activities which we committed under the current award that were delayed due to the COVID-19 pandemic  complete SC CTSI COVID-19 support for Los Angeles minority communities and researchers since the pandemic  complete evaluation and dissemination of research findings and impact  fulfill commitments to community partners and ensure we maintain the trust and partnership we worked hard to cultivate in the last 10 years  fulfill commitments to USC and CHLA researchers relying on our services such as clinical research coordination  complete conversion of education materials and offerings to online format for archive and sharing to CTSA and research communities  retain knowledge and prevent the loss of investments in key personnel, systems and tools we developed The cost extension request is for projects and commitments initiated during the current award and does not include support for new programs, services or projects.
