Abstract

Project Summary: The primary goal of our funded research is to understand the molecular mechanisms of meiotic chromosome segregation. An essential tool for the experiments in the funded proposal is the use of time-lapse microscopy. We have two Nikon microscope systems in the lab, but we seek a better way to regulate temperature and humidity for our samples. We are requesting the Tokai Hit STX Stage-Incubation System, with an adaptor to fit our Nikon Ti2 microscope stage, and an objective heater. The Tokai Hit system will maintain a constant temperature and humidity within the chamber to ensure that the experiments are always performed with the same environmental conditions.
