## Abstract

2021 NIDA Summer Research Internship Program
PI: Congwu Du
Abstract/Project Summary:
This ‘Summer Research with NIDA’ program will be hosted in the Dept. of Biomedical
Engineering, Stony Brook University. One intern student, Madison McGuire (University of
Florida) is selected by NIDA (General Submission document for details) , who will join us at
Stony Brook as interns for summer research, 2021.
Due to Covid-19, this internship will be offered virtually. She will join our lab between
06/01/2021 and 8/30/2021. She will work with a graduate student (Kichon Park, a daily mentor)
to learn imaging process. I, Congwu Du, will function as a PI for this research/education activity.
As a PI, I will stay in my lab during the summer and will meet the student daily or during group
meeting. In addition, we will have graduate students, Ki to work with intern in a daily basis to
ensure the progress of the research.
By following NIDA program guideline, we need to submit a supplement application through PA-

our awarded R01 (DA029718).
