# RI-INBRE CELs Equipment Request

> **NIH NIH P20** · UNIVERSITY OF RHODE ISLAND · 2021 · $209,364

## Abstract

Program Director/Principal Investigator (Last, First, Middle): Cho, Bongsup P.
PROJECT SUMMARY
We request an administrative supplement to purchase instruments at two RI-INBRE Centralized
Research Core Facilities (CRCF) Extension Laboratories (CELs). Specifically, we propose to
replace a broken flow cytometer at Roger Williams University (RWU) with a new benchtop flow
cytometer. We also propose to purchase an automated fluorescence microscope at Providence
College (PC) to enhance access to this technology. Both instruments would be accessible to RI-
INBRE and RI investigators. Funding this administrative supplement to purchase these two
instruments for inclusion into these RI-INBRE CELs will preserve and enhance the benefit of these
instruments by ensuring they are accessible to RI-INBRE researchers through being part of the
CRCF. By being included in the CRCF instrument listings, the maximum exposure of these
instruments to the RI-IBRE and RI biomedical community is possible.
