## Abstract

Abstract
This is an equipment supplement application for the National Resource for Mechanistic
Modeling of Cellular Systems to purchase a Qumulo active archive class hybrid storage cluster
with a 1 PB raw capacity to provide for redundant/backup storage of users simulation results.
The compute infrastructure includes backup capabilities only for user models and not for
simulation results. In the event of a loss of simulation results data, recreating the data by re-
simulating models can be very costly and lead to many months of data unavailability. The
proposed cluster would be operated and maintained by the UConn Health High Performance
Facility staff and housed at a remote data center location for disaster recovery purposes.
