## Abstract

Project Summary: The Pelvic Floor Disorders Network (PFDN) is an ongoing multicenter program designed to
study clinical and health aspects of female pelvic floor disorders (PFDs). Women & Infants Hospital (WIH) is a
women’s hospital, uniquely focused on advancing women’s health and research and its mission is directly in
line with the PFDN. The Brown/WIH site has demonstrated that we have the scientific expertise, high clinical
volume, research infrastructure, and administrative commitment to be successful in this Network. The objective
of this administrative supplement is to complete the work for active ongoing PFDN protocols including: 1)
MUSA (in active enrollment, randomizing women with mixed incontinence to sling surgery vs.
onabotulinumtoxinA), 2) PRoMISe (in active enrollment, supplementary study to MUSA characterizing baseline
putative proteins in women with mixed incontinence associated with change after treatment), 3) BioLIFT (active
study evaluating the feasibility of biofabrication of pelvic ligaments), 4) e-ASPIRE (in follow-up, comparing 3
surgical approaches for vaginal prolapse), and 5) e-SUPeR (in long-term follow-up comparing native tissue to
mesh based surgery for uterine prolapse). During the next year, our focus will be to work diligently with our
collaborating sites and the coordinating center to complete recruitment and follow-up for the MUSA trial,
continue our innovative, collaborative work with Pittsburgh and biomedical tissue engineering at Brown for
BioLIFT, and to maintain high retention rates in all clinical trials. We will continue to ensure active Network
participation including high data quality, manuscript proposal and publication, and active support of all Network
administrative functions. We will also continue to ensure the highest quality of care and research for women
with PFDs in New England through wider-reaching advocacy efforts.
