# The Stanford-SLAC CryoEM Center (S2C2)

> **NIH NIH U24** · STANFORD UNIVERSITY · 2021 · $309,356

## Abstract

Project Summary
This is a supplement request for providing a cryo-specimen screening service to the community. We will
use our existing equipment in the Center to provide this activity. We anticipate that the Talos Arctica
(200 kV) and the Tundra (100 kV) electron microscopes will be used for the proposed activity. We will
recruit a full-time staff member for this activity and will advertise our service through 3DEM and our
user email lists. We anticipate that this service will expand the dissemination of cryoEM technology to
investigators who do not have expertise or facilities in their institutions. All the users need to apply this
service via our existing project application process and evaluated by our user project evaluation
committee prior to allocating staff and instrument time for the approved projects.
