> **NIH NIH U24** · STANFORD UNIVERSITY · 2021 · $844,550

## Abstract

Project Summary
This is a supplement request for the purchase of Vitrojet which is a new generation of jet freezing
device. It has been shown that it will provide a more uniform and thin embedding ice for preserving
single particle samples. In addition, this device has a potential merit of minimizing the specimen
deterioration at the water-air interface because no blotting is applied to thin the sample. This
instrument will be accessible to all users of our Center.
