# Small Molecule Degraders of Intracellular HIV Proteins as Novel Anti-HIV Therapeutics

> **NIH NIH N43** · ZYMERON CORPORATION · 2021 · $300,000

## Abstract

Therapeutic Targeting of Intracellular HIV-1 Proteins or Nucleic Acids: This research topic supports the development of therapeutics which target intracellular HIV proteins or nucleic acids (DNA, RNA) with the goal of inhibiting their function and ultimately HIV replication. The objective of this contract is to design and synthesize compounds that bind to Nef, an HIV accessory protein, which will be screened, selected and validated on their ability to degrade the Nef protein.
