> **NIH NIH R01** · UNIVERSITY OF ILLINOIS AT CHICAGO · 2021 · $22,538

## Abstract

Purpose of the administrative supplement
The purpose of this administrative supplement request is to support the effort needed to fulfill
the NIMH Data Archiving (NDA) requirement associated with our current Ro1. The specific
activities associated with the NDA requirements are included in the Data Sharing and Archiving
Plan attached to this supplement request application. The New NDA requirement places a
significant burden on our study’s budget. This was not included in the original grant budget as
we were unaware of the new requirement so we did not include it in our original study budget.
In addition, our requested budget was cut by 10%. Given this, we are requesting a small amount
additional funds to help us stay on track with this new NDA data submission requirement. We
utilized the NIH calculator spreadsheet to determine how much we may need in additional
funding (see attached budget). We appreciate your consideration of this request to ensure the
success of our study and our ability to meet the new NDA requirements.
