Abstract

This contract supports the provision of census tract population estimates by age, gender, and race that sum up to county level estimates produced by the US Census for the Surveillance Epidemiology and end Results Program (SEER), supported by the Surveillance Research Program of the Division of Cancer Control and Population Sciences at NCI. The contractor Woods & Poole will apply proportional methodology with an NCI method modification for allocating multiple race population. The contractor will provide 1) annual data, 2010 through 2019 based on 2019 population vintage and 2010 census tract definitions, 2) annual data, 2000 through 2005 based on 2000 census tract definitions , and 3) annual data, 2006 through 2009 based on 2010 census tract definitions . The data are for the 19 age cohorts, five race/ethnicity groups plus total, and for male and female separately (a total of 19 age, gender, and race/ethnicity groups plus 38 age and gender total population groups). The sum of population by age, gender, race/ethnicity equal total residential population.
