# Evaluation of HepaRG cells as a screen for chemical toxicity and assay optimization

> **NIH NIH N01** · BATTELLE MEMORIAL INSTITU · 2021 · $682,169

## Abstract

The overall goal of this project is to further validate and refine study design for the selection of 3D HepaRG cells, or spheroids, as a model system in the screening and prioritization of chemicals for test at DNTP. This project also includes an in vitro assessment of aqueus film forming foams (AFFFs) in 2D HepaRG cells.
Keywords: aqueous film forming foam, aqueous fire fighting foam, AFFF, HepaRG, primary human hepatocytes, PHH
