> **NIH NIH N01** · MAYO CLINIC ROCHESTER · 2021 · $530,286

## Abstract

Clinical registries are repositories of clinical information that can improve the standard of care
and inform research in a particular field. As a leading funder of amputation, prosthetic
development, and post- amputation rehabilitation research, NCMRR, in partnership with DoD, seeks to
establish a Limb Loss and Preservation Registry of clinical information on civilians, military
personnel, and veterans who experience limb loss or preservation at care sites outside the DoD, or
Department of Veterans Affairs.
This registry shall include information on limb preservation care, pre-operative care, operative
care, acute and sub-acute management, device fitting and use, and rehabilitation care as provided
by private, not-for-profit, or academic medical centers.
