PROJECT SUMMARY The Administrative Core (AC) provides the foundational support necessary for achieving the overarching goals of Center for Integrative Research on Childhood Adversity (CIRCA). The CIRCA administrative core has three primary functions: a) providing administrative, fiscal, and scientific management of the Center; b) supporting the research and career development goals of CIRCA research project leaders (RPLs); and c) coordinating the development of sustainable research cores supporting interdisciplinary approaches to the study of childhood adversity and its effects on health. By design, CIRCA is integrative in nature, coordinating and combining studies across the spectrum of translational science to develop a more comprehensive understanding of biobehavioral mechanisms and developmental processes that will inform solutions to enduring and intergenerational childhood trauma. The AC will support the overall aims of the Center with sound administrative and fiscal management practices, providing effective internal and external communication, coordinating training and education programs, conducting ongoing process and outcome evaluation, and supporting the development of sustainable research cores.
