# Administrative Supplement to Acquire a GPU Cluster

> **NIH NIH R35** · UNIVERSITY OF ILLINOIS AT CHICAGO · 2022 · $250,000

## Abstract

PROJECT SUMMARY
The goal of this administrative supplement is to acquire an A100 GPU cluster. Capitalizing on the advances that
we have made in the prior years of MIRA funding, this GPU cluster will not only accelerate our computational
efforts but open exciting new opportunities. These include the ability to simulate, for the first time, the same
condensate systems as in our experimental studies; GPU-accelerated methods for quantifying nonspecific
interactions in condensates; and the sequence code for the conformational, dynamic, and binding properties of
intrinsically disordered proteins. Pursuing these new opportunities will enable greater integration between our
computational and experimental studies and elevate our research to new heights unforeseen two years ago
when the MIRA renewal was written.
