Abstract

Funding Opportunity Title: Manufactured Food Flexible Funding Model Compliance and Enforcement Expansion Supplement (U18) Funding Opportunity: RFA-FD-22-019 Agency: Maryland Department of Health Abstract The purpose of this funding is to advance the efforts of the Maryland Department of Health (MDH) and a nationally Integrated Food Safety System (IFSS) by assisting the MDH Office of Food Protection’s (OFP) manufactured food regulatory program and the State of Maryland Rapid Response Team (SMarRRT) through the enhancement of their existing regulatory and compliance activities. The objectives of the grant will be to increase efficiency and effectiveness associated with responses to violative food samples identified within the State of Maryland. In addition, it will allow OFP to provide additional support to the Maryland State Public Health Laboratory (MSPHL) through its participation in the Laboratory Flexible Funding Model (LFFM) Program.
