## Abstract

Ohio Department of Agriculture MFRPS FFM Compliance and Enforcement Expansion
 Supplement Summary/Abstract
The purpose of the Ohio Department of Agriculture, Division of Food Safety (ODA FS)
participating in the Compliance and Enforcement Expansion Supplement portion of the FFM
grant is to advance public health by developing a comprehensive approach to prevention,
identification, containment, and removal of adulterated, contaminated, or misbranded products
in the marketplace.
We intend on accomplishing this by expanding our investigational techniques to include
traceback/forward training, conducting aseptic sampling training, development of a more
thorough recall policy (to include effectiveness checks and recall status reports), utilizing our
enforcement tools, when necessary and enhancing our already strong relationships with FDA
and state inspection programs to work toward a more integrated food safety system.
