## Abstract

Project Summary
This grant supports a project to purchase equipment specifically for cryopreservation, which will allow the
National Xenopus Resource (NXR) to efficiently create essential cryopreserved stocks of its 400 different
strains. This equipment is needed to help the NXR cryopreserve sperm in special straws. Without
cryopreserving our stocks there is a risk that they can lost should something happen to the live frogs. In
addition, cryopreservation will help alleviate space constraints in the NXR.
