Abstract

Project Summary/Abstract The role of the Genome Editing Testing Section is to validate unique reporter models created by the Animal Model Production Section and to test novel delivery methods and reagents provided by other members of the Somatic Cell Genome Editing (SCGE) Consortium. Additionally, the Genome Editing Testing Section is responsible for creating standard operating procedures (SOPs) and comprehensive reports for testing new genome editing technologies. The purpose of this proposal is to test the "second-round" of reagents that have been proven in the mouse and targeted for evaluation in pigs. In preparation for translating delivery and editing technologies to the clinic, we aim to complete safety and efficacy studies in a swine model. Further we will be responsible for preservation of samples from these studies in anticipation of future needs.
