## Abstract

PROJECT SUMMARY
An equipment supplement award for 1R15GM140448-01 (Title: Single-molecule approaches to
study epiblast stem cell fate decision) is requested to acquire Leica’s THUNDER imager live cell
and 3D assay system. Exploiting the advances in the computational clearing feature in real-time,
this equipment will not only accelerate our experimental endeavors but also offer training
opportunities for undergraduate and graduate students thus opening exciting new career
opportunities for them in the biomedical science and engineering field. The main goal of the
funded R15 grant is to elucidate the molecular force-dependent fate decision of epiblast stem
cells. This equipment supplement award, if granted, will undoubtedly elevate our research and
serve as the primary workhorse for carrying out the funded R15 project.
