Abstract

Precision oncology offers great potential in improving cancer-related diagnosis and treatment. The Navipoint Platform provides state of the art tools, pipelines, and cloud-based resources, which will be extended and integrated with CRDC data and resources in order to enable “Collaborate in the Cloud” capabilities to help realize this promise. The product of this SBIR will be a production-grade system enabling streamlined and secure integration between Navipoint and CRDC. The proposed approach includes the following: To develop, leverage and disseminate analytical tools in the Navipoint bioinformatics analysis platform, seamlessly integrate with, and fully leverage, CRDC resources, leverage scalable cloud-based infrastructure and cost-aware scheduling, in order to help drive new cancer discoveries for improved prevention, diagnosis and treatment. And to perform a usability study with a cross-section of users to confirm and enhance system capabilities and to conduct outreach and support to maximize benefits of utilizing CRDC resources in concert with Navipoint Genomics platform capabilities.
