Abstract

The objective of this task area (TA) is to provide high-throughput, next generation RNA sequencing (RNA-Seq) for study investigators selected by the National Heart, Lung, and Blood Institute (NHLBI) as part of the Trans-Omics for Precision Medicine (TOPMed) program. We will provide RNA-Seq data using a robust, automated pipeline previously established at the Northwest Genomics Center (NWGC) at the University of Washington. As we have done for past and current phases of TOPMed RNA projects, we will provide RNA-Seq datasets of the highest quality and coordinate our efforts with the NHLBI, TOPMed investigators, other sequencing centers, the Data Coordinating Center (DCC), and the Informatics Research Center (IRC). For this project, we will facilitate the objectives of the Centralized Omics Resource (CORE) and the TOPMed program by generating RNA-Seq data for as few as 1,000 samples to as many as 40,000 samples per year for the base year and four one-year option periods. As we have done in the past.
