Executive Summary of Predicate STTR Phase 1 Grant and Team This application seeks supplemental funding for growing our business around an innovative approach to measuring hydration. Our company is seeking STTR funding to refine our technique and demonstrate its utility in an area of high clinical need, in partnership with an academic medical center. At TritonX we believe that the future of health & wellness is in continuous monitoring. Monitoring hydration is a daily challenge for millions of people, especially older adults and people with common chronic diseases - migraines, kidney disease, heart disease, diabetes and other serious conditions. We have developed a wearable continuous hydration monitor that can detect users’ total body water, intracellular and extracellular water in real time to help them lead a better life, ward off diseases and maintain or improve their quality of life. Our company seeks to eliminate the burdens caused by dehydration not only on individuals but also on the health care system. Progress toward aims of our Phase I aims: Aim 1: Determine the ideal user experience, device settings and health care communication needs when conducting continuous monitoring of fluid levels among older adults in their homes. Progress: We have redesigned our prior prototype device, removing unnecessary features and upgrading components to increase efficiency and reliability for the current study. The improved device will enable us to better focus on customer experience as opposed to technical support. Aim 2: Compare device measured fluid levels to clinical and laboratory parameters pre and post treatment among acutely ill older adults presenting to the emergency department for dehydration. Progress: We have established protocols and identified team members to conduct our study in the proposed emergency care environment. IRB approval is complete. We have trained staff on protocols using our device. I-Corps Team Our I-Corps team: ? Corporate Officer: Dr Éamon Johnson, CEO TritonX Inc ? Technical Lead: Shravan Khare, CTO TritonX Inc ?
