# Administrative Supplement to Harnessing Alkyl Amines and Alkyl Alcohols in Cross-Coupling

> **NIH NIH R35** · UNIVERSITY OF DELAWARE · 2023 · $86,052

## Abstract

ABSTRACT
This supplement to R35 GM131816 is directed towards the purchase of a Shimadzu Nexera™ Ultra High
Performance Liquid Chromatograph (UHPLC) for the efficient determination of enantiomeric excess of organic
compounds. Because of the differing biological activities of enantiomers, efficient methods are required to
prepare bioactive molecules in high enantiomeric purity. Recognizing this important need, the development of
new methods to prepare highly enantioenriched organic compounds is a major focus of the parent research
program. The proposed UHPLC instrument will replace a rapidly deteriorating 14-year-old HPLC, which has
been a critical workhorse instrument to enable the R35-supported research.
