# From RRID to Resource Watch: A Knowledgebase of Biomedical Research Resources

> **NIH NIH R24** · UNIVERSITY OF CALIFORNIA, SAN DIEGO · 2023 · $157,301

## Abstract

Project Summary
The proposed GPU cluster will enable the RRID team to substantially improve detection of research resources
in the scientific literature, a task that is mundane but important for academic tool creators, including Shared Core
Facility directors, software tool authors, data resource owners, and the creators of biological resources such as
mice or antibodies. These resources are frequently nicknamed in the scientific literature, a practice that the RRID
project is aiming to eliminate, but one incentive for resource owners is to get better data about which papers are
using their tools.
