## Abstract

Modified Abstract
The Institute of Translational Genomic Medicine (ITGM) at Morehouse School of Medicine seeks to establish a world-class environment for translational genomics research by building infrastructure, expanding genomic reference resources, and advancing education programs. The proposed projects focus on addressing gaps in genomic knowledge by applying ultramodern sequencing technologies, integrating robust environmental exposure data, and advancing the scientific understanding of genomic variation across human populations. This program will strengthen MSM’s leadership in genomics innovation and will close critical gaps in available genomic resources, significantly contributing to national efforts to broaden research impact across dissimilar genetic backgrounds.
