## Abstract

Abstract
The University of California Clinical and Translaonal Pain Research Consorum (CCTPRC) was
awarded the NIH U24 (NS115714) grant in 2019. The budget was reduced when the U24 was
awarded. This required us to reduce effort for the Invesgators, PM and study coordinator.
Although we were able to streamline the efficiency and costs by combining redundancy
between other NIH HEAL grants across the CCTPRC, the higher-than-expected screen/screen
failure rao for the EN20-01 and EN21-01 studies strained the budget with funds running out
March 2024. We are asking for addional funds to get us through the 5-year budget period.
We will use the funds toward other recruitment methods for the two studies ulizing
bioinformacs to search the EHR for qualified subjects. Two methods will be used, batch
emailing and cold calls. We will monitor success of screen to randomizaon rao and revert to
the method yielding the highest randomizaons. This will also allow us to refined recruitment
efforts for future EPPIC-Net studies.
