Abstract

ADMINISTRATIVE CORE: PROJECT SUMMARY The Administrative Core for the Virginia Advancing Cancer Control Equity Research Through Transformative Solutions (VA-ACCERT) Center will provide support for the Center’s overarching goal to improve dissemination and implementation of cancer prevention services to individuals and families living within Virginia’s Housing and Urban Development (HUD)-administered public housing communities. The Administrative Core provides an essential framework for coordinating and communicating across the interdependent components of this proposal as well as supporting the more routine administrative tasks associated with a large, multi-component award. The Administrative Core will be led by a Multiple Principal Investigator (MPI) triad and an Executive Steering Committee, and both will be guided by two Community Advisory entities, an Internal Advisory Board, and an External Scientific Advisory Board. The Administrative Core is charged with the following aims: 1) Provide oversight and logistical support, including the management of internal and external communications, across all Center and national consortium activities; 2) Monitor the fiscal oversight for the VA-ACCERT Center; 3) Provide support for capacity building activities, notably in inclusion and training of early-career trainees and investigators in the best practices for conducting community-engaged and cancer equity-focused research; and 4) Implement comprehensive formative and summative evaluation strategies in coordination with the Center’s leadership and advisory committees.
