Abstract

ABSTRACT – ADMINISTRATIVE CORE A The overarching goal of the Administrative Core is to provide the operational support necessary to meet the goals of each Project and the overall Program Project Grant (PPG) “Precision Interception of Gastric Cancer Precursors Through Molecular and Cellular Risk Stratification.” This core will support the ultimate mission of the PPG which is to develop precision medicine strategies for preventing gastric cancer. The Core will function as the organizational hub for the PPG, centralizing resources to maximize efficiency for the three Projects. The five major objectives of the Core are: (1) Managing the finances of the PPG and allocating specific funds to each Project. (2) Communicating with all appropriate regulatory entities. (3) Coordinating translational activities and clinical trial efforts. (4) Monitoring progress and facilitating interactions across Projects, Cores, and Advisory Boards. (5) Ensuring timely data and resource sharing. The Core will contribute fiscal management and oversight to the PPG through the efforts of multidisciplinary personnel with expertise in these distinct responsibilities. It will provide coordinated and consistent communication with all regulatory entities to ensure proper research conduct. Frequent PPG review meetings will also be facilitated by the Core. The Core Leads will serve as liaisons with Divisional and Departmental personnel to enhance interprofessional collaboration and advance discoveries. All Projects and Shared Resource Cores will utilize the functions of this Administrative Core. As a result, the Core's work will contribute to the overarching theme of intercepting and developing precision cancer prevention of gastric cancer.
