CORE 2 PROJECT SUMMARY Key to this proposal is the inclusion of Core 2, which encompasses unified support for Bioinformatics, Biostatistics, Genomics, Transcriptomics, and Computational Biology and the development of an integrated analytical platform that will consolidate all the computational methods and tools developed or adapted to accomplish each of the projects’ research agendas. Core 2 will provide support for both exploratory and hypothesis-free analyses as well as for hypothesis-driven targeted identification of the molecules and pathways identified in the research programs of each of the three projects. For example, a detailed analysis of the sequencing data generated by the projects will reveal the changes in the somatic mutations, driver mutations, clonal evolution, and mutational signatures due to hypernutrition and metabolic stress. This core will also maintain a database linking all the biospecimens, organoids, PDOXs, and the associated data from all projects and cores. As the different projects generate data, this core will integrate the data with analysis modalities to identify, e.g., novel pathways and cross-talk between NRF2, ATF6, SAB, and other identified biomarkers.
