PROJECT SUMMARY- PLANNING AND EVALUATION CORE The Planning and Evaluation Core (P&E) of the Howard-Hopkins Comprehensive Alliance in Cancer Research, Education, and Equity (H2CAREE) initiative aims to continuously plan and assess the Partnership’s activities. It tracks project progress and scholar development by using comprehensive evaluation methods to examine processes, immediate effects, and long-term outcomes. The evaluations will be guided by a Logic Model, connecting resources, activities, and outcomes to the goal of creating a sustainable program that contributes to eliminating cancer disparities. The P&E core, led by Dr. Xinbin Gu (Howard University) and Dr. Clayton Yates (Johns Hopkins University), will provide recommendations for investigators and committees of the Partnership. The core’s specific aims include: 1. ongoing oversight and project tracking, 2. collaborative research strategy, 3. internal activity coordination, 4. development of additional research projects, 5. evaluation of external activities and progress, and 6. strategizing and organizing events for effective information dissemination.
