Modified Project Summary/Abstract Section Recruitment, training, and retention of a biomedical and clinical workforce that represents the multiple needs and challenges within our communities is vital for advancing health and reducing health disparities. Although many organizations, including professional societies, offer general programs focused on trainees, few address the specific and unique needs in life sciences, especially in biomedical and clinical research, during critical career transitions. To fill this gap, the Endocrine Society established the Future Leaders Advancing Research in Endocrinology (FLARE) Program, a comprehensive training initiative for graduate students, postdoctoral fellows, clinical fellows, and early-stage faculty engaged in endocrine-related research. The program aims to foster the professional growth of these early-stage investigators, enhancing their readiness for career advancement within research institutions, the broader scientific community, and as future leaders of the Endocrine Society. FLARE includes a leadership training workshop, a virtual community, a mentoring program to build relationships between fellows and dedicated mentors, a Society-based internship, and a fellow/alumni luncheon at our annual meeting. FLARE fellows volunteer as on-site mentors for undergraduate students attending ENDO, serve as mentors and representatives of the Society at external conferences, contribute to Endocrine Society advocacy efforts, and actively participate in Endocrine Society Special Interest Groups (SIGs). Since the inception of the program, about 60% of FLARE fellows have been appointed as members and/or chairs of governance committees and task forces of the Society for a full term which has added breadth and depth by increasing the percentage of early career committee members serving in the Society’s leadership. Ultimately, FLARE provides early career investigators with unique, targeted opportunities for professional development to h
