The GACD is an alliance of 15 health research funding agencies from around the world that coordinate funding for research and research training programs to enhance the knowledge base and skills to prevent and manage chronic, non-communicable diseases (NCD) in Low and Middle Income Countries (LMIC), as well as Indigenous and other resource challenged communities. The GACD supports Implementation Research that aims to enable sustained, low cost prevention and management of NCDs, and seeks both location specific and globally transferrable lessons across low- and high- income countries.
