Abstract

Eastern Nigeria Research Ethics Training (ENRICH) Program Administrative Supplement. Project summary The Eastern Nigeria Research Ethics Training (ENRICH) Program a successful collaboration between the University of Maryland School of Medicine and the Center for Bioethics and Research, Nigeria has trained 17 MSc Bioethics and 14 MPH with Bioethics Concentration trainees since inception in 2021. The program has also offered 14,446 short-term online CBR- BRANY-CITI trainings and 48 3-months long diploma trainings in research ethics. In total, we have trained 15 health research ethics committees and strengthened them to become registered ethics committee in Nigeria. During this administrative supplement period, the program would sustain the momentum and 3 MSc Bioethics, 6 MPH with Bioethics concertation trainees, sustain access to online short-term bioethics training and strategize on curriculum revision to align with the America First Global Health strategy and new NIH and USG priorities.
