Abstract

PROJECT SUMMARY Core B. Genomics Bioinformatics A Genomics and Bioinformatics Core is proposed to enable the application of massively parallel sequencing- based approaches to advance the understanding of pathological programs of gene expression that contribute to the development of atherosclerosis and NASH. An essential aspect of all four Projects of this PPG will be to define the consequences of genetic, dietary and pharmacologic perturbations on global programs of gene expression in relevant tissues and cell types. The PPG Genomics and Bioinformatics Core will provide two complementary services to advance these efforts; 1) technical support and resources for preparation and sequencing of libraries enabling bulk RNA-Seq, single cell RNA-Seq, ATAC-Seq and ChIP-Seq assays and 2) corresponding bioinformatics and computational support to allow effective analysis of the resulting data.
