Abstract

The Food and Drug Administration (FDA) is amending the food additive regulations to provide for the safe use of chlorine dioxide produced by treating an aqueous solution of sodium chlorite with hydrogen peroxide in the presence of sulfuric acid. This action is in response to a petition filed by Eka Chemicals, Inc.
