## Abstract

The Food and Drug Administration (FDA) is amending the food additive regulations to provide for the safe use of calcium disodium EDTA (ethylenediaminetetraacetate) or disodium EDTA to promote color retention for all edible types of cooked, canned legumes. This action is in response to a petition filed by the National Food Processors Association.
