Abstract
The Food and Drug Administration (FDA) is amending the animal drug regulations to reflect approval of a new animal drug application (NADA) filed by Alpharma, Inc. The NADA provides for use of approved, single-ingredient chlortetracycline (CTC) and bacitracin methylene disalicylate Type A medicated articles to make two-way combination Type C medicated feeds used for control of porcine proliferative enteropathies (ileitis) and for increased rate of weight gain and improved feed efficiency in swine.
