Abstract

The Food and Drug Administration (FDA) is amending the animal drug regulations to reflect approval of a new animal drug application (NADA) filed by Alpharma, Inc. The NADA provides for use of approved, single-ingredient decoquinate and monensin Type A medicated articles to make two-way combination drug Type B and Type C medicated feeds used for prevention of coccidiosis and improved feed efficiency in cattle fed in confinement for slaughter.
