## Abstract

The Food and Drug Administration (FDA) is amending the food additive regulations to provide for the expanded safe use of ethylene- octene-1 copolymers, containing not less than 50 weight-percent of polymer units derived from ethylene, as articles or components of food- contact articles. This action is in response to a petition filed by The Dow Chemical Co.
