## Abstract

The Food and Drug Administration (FDA) is amending the food additive regulations to provide for the safe use of vitamin D<INF>3</INF> as a nutrient supplement in calcium-fortified fruit juices and juice drinks, excluding fruit juices and juice drinks specially formulated or processed for infants, at levels not to exceed 100 International Units (IU) per reference amount customarily consumed (RACC). This action is in response to a petition filed by The Minute Maid Co.
