## Abstract

This interim final rule with comment period (IFC) freezes the payment to Opioid Treatment Programs for methadone in CY 2022 at the CY 2021 rate because it would not be appropriate to implement a decrease to the rate when substance use and overdoses have been exacerbated by the Coronavirus Disease 2019 (COVID-19) pandemic.
