Abstract
The Food and Drug Administration (FDA) is amending the food additive regulations to provide for the safe use of 3,9-bis[2-{3-(3- tert-butyl-4-hydroxy-5-methylphenyl)propionyloxy}-1,1-dimethylethyl]- 2,4,8,10-tetraoxaspiro[5.5]undecane as an antioxidant for high density polyethylene intended for use in food-contact articles. This action is in response to a petition filed by Sumitomo Chemical America, Inc.
