## Abstract

The Food and Drug Administration (FDA) is confirming the effective date of December 30, 1994, of the final rule that appeared in the Federal Register of November 29, 1994 (59 FR 60893) (effective date corrected in the Federal Register of December 2, 1994 ( 59 FR 61929)), and amended the color additive regulations to provide for the safe use of FD&C Yellow No. 5 and FD&C Yellow No. 5 Aluminum Lake for coloring drugs and cosmetics intended for use in the area of the eye.
