## Abstract

The Food and Drug Administration (FDA) is amending the food additive regulations to provide for the safe use of 2,4-di-tert-pentyl- 6-[1-(3,5-di-tert-pentyl-2-hydroxyphenyl)ethyl]phenyl acrylate as an antioxidant in the manufacture of polystyrene and rubber-modified polystyrene articles that contact food. This action is in response to a petition filed by Sumitomo Chemical America, Inc.
