Abstract

The Food and Drug Administration (FDA) is amending its regulations to affirm that cocoa butter substitute manufactured from high-oleic safflower or sunflower oil is generally recognized as safe (GRAS). This action is in response to a petition filed by Fuji Oil Co., Ltd. (Fuji).
