Abstract

The Food and Drug Administration (FDA) is amending its regulations to affirm that the use of enzyme-modified lecithin as a direct human food ingredient is generally recognized as safe (GRAS). This action is in response to a petition filed by Kyowa Hakko Kogyo Co., Ltd.
