## Abstract

The Food and Drug Administration (FDA) is amending the food additive regulations to provide for the expanded safe use of phosphorous acid, cyclic neopentanetetrayl bis(2,6-di-tert-butyl-4- methylphenyl)ester for use as an antioxidant and/or stabilizer at levels not to exceed 0.05 percent by weight of olefin polymers intended for use in contact with food. This action is in response to a petition filed by Asahi Denka Kogyo K. K.
