## Abstract

The Food and Drug Administration (FDA) is amending the animal drug regulations to reflect approval of an abbreviated new animal drug application (ANADA) filed by Chanelle Pharmaceuticals Manufacturing Ltd. The ANADA provides for intravenous, intramuscular, or subcutaneous use of xylazine injection in dogs and cats to produce sedation accompanied by a shorter period of analgesia.
