## Abstract

The Food and Drug Administration (FDA) is amending the food additive regulations to provide for the safe use of periodic acid (PA) and polyethylenimine (PEI) as fixing agents for the immobilization of glucoamylase enzyme preparations from Aspergillus niger for use in the manufacture of beer. This action is in response to a petition filed by Enzyme Bio-Systems, Ltd.
